After a two month-long search, Frabelle Foods has finally found their first ever Foodie Chef in the finals held last January 9, 2013 in Pasig City. No less than Frabelle Foods ambassador, the dashing senator Chiz Escudero, graced the event and played chairman of the board of judges.
The participants were asked to come up with their own recipe using any of the delicious Frabelle Foods product namely Yummy! Hotdogs and Cheesedogs, Pork Ham Tocino, Longganiza Hamonado, Hickory Smoked Bacon, and Honey Ham
. Out of the numerous entries submitted at the Frabelle Foods Facebook page
, five Foodie Chefs stood out and they are as follows:
- Stuffed Chicken by Neneth Tiongkiao Madrona
- Hickory Smoked Bacon Wrapped Stuffed Chicken by Romeo Julian Garcia
- Frabelle Trimeat Breakfast by Nathan Dapon
- Frabelle Delish Muffin by Maridel Pacleb
- Frabelle Meatlover’s Dream by Marlon Cruz
Ms. Neneth Tiongkiao Madrona
was finally recognized as the first-ever Frabelle Foodie Chef. She received Php 20,000
and a free one-day culinary class at the Center for Culinary Arts (CCA)
. She and her special dish also achieved the most votes from the media attendees including us bloggers. I personally voted for her dish because I loved how the different flavors of the Frabelle food products she used harmoniously blended with each other to create a yummy chicken dish. She admitted that she only used little salt and pepper to flavor her dish and relied on the flavors of Frabelle food products. I will share her recipe soon so watch out for that!
