2015 proves to be Our Food Trip’s year! It’s just January, yet we already have so many food trips to write. And one of the many blessings that came early this year is the bag of goodies that arrived from Fisherfarms!
Part of our loot is a bag of this yummy Fisherfarms Garlic Fish Longaniza. Since we’re eating more healthy and less pork dishes, I was really happy to see that they have longaniza made of bangus (milkfish). It’s high-protein and low in cholesterol and fat at the same time which is best for a hypertensive like me.
So we had it early this morning and it was really good. Actually, the taste is similar to pork longaniza because there’s no fishy taste. Surprisingly, its plant-based casing is still intact even after frying just like pork longaniza.
Fisherfarms Garlic Fish Longaniza is gluten-free, casein-free, and nitrite-free. Locally, it is available in major supermarkets for Php 80 (9-piece 250g pack). It is also exported to the US an is Halal-certified so it’s also enjoyed in the Middle East.
