Mercato Centrale has officially moved to a new and more accessible location in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. Now set up at the corner of 7th Avenue and 25th Street, foodies can now easily find it across The Forum and in front of the “Between The Lines” art mural (or The Spaceman as it is more popularly known. It’s now nearer to the offices which is good news for the yuppies of BGC who are looking for an affordable place for a Friday hangout.
Mercato Centrale is open every Friday and Saturday from 6 pm to 3 am. It still has the same lively, food fair vibe it’s known for. Most especially, old-time favorites such as Auntie May, Cuisiner, and Don Churro, are still around to serve their famous fare.
New vendors are also present at Mercato Centrale. Among the must-try’s are East Meets West’s Bagnet Burger, the Oinkery’s smoked and slow-cooked pulled pork (yum!), and Bakmi Nyonya’s Chinese Indonesian noodle dishes that won the 2014 Next Big Food Entrepreneur contest!
There were a lot of food choices, and by a lot I mean a mind-boggling LOT! Good thing that we were so hungry that Friday night that we were able to try food from different vendors. We stayed for a while and even ordered some beers (beers are cheap, by the way) and just enjoyed the food along with the entertaining music playing in the background. Below you’ll see the food we had.
Satisfy your cravings and enjoy the company of friends and family at Mercato Centrale this weekend! For updates, you may follow the Mercato Central Facebook page (www.facebook.com/mercatocentrale).
