Living in a town that’s so far from the sea or even a river, we often have to make do with frozen seafood products. Thus, the bangus (milkfish) has become a regular in our fridge. It used to be a hit and miss for me as I would end up buying unfresh frozen bangus that make my tongue itch. And that happened even when I meticulously checked the expiration date. Now, I only buy Sarangani Bay Prime Bangus products to be sure that I only get our favorite bangus that’s still fresh even when frozen.

Weeks ago, the generous people behind Sarangani Bay Prime Bangus sent us an icebox filled with frozen milkfish goodies and I couldn’t be any happier.  You see, I have been seriously dieting for weeks now (lost 26 pounds to date!) and I now prefer eating fish over pork or beef. I also don’t eat rice anymore and the daing na bangus goes well with any of the leafy green veggies I have with my meals.

Aside from the marinated milkfish products, we also received the Sarangani Bay Boneless Smoked Milkfish (Tinapang Bangus) that the boys devoured for breakfast along with fried rice and scrambled egg. Interestingly for me, I found out that it also went well with oatmeal. Weird combination ba? But no, it was just like eating lugaw with tinapa, haha!

Last but not the least, we also enjoyed a pack of Boness Bangus Belly which I cooked Bistek style much to the boys’ delight.
