Top 5 Rainy Day Filipino Food Favorites

rainy day Filipino food list

Whenever it rains, I have this craving for rainy day Filipino food that reminds me of my childhood in the flooded streets of Manila. There’s always something to look forward to after wading through dirty waters that can chase away the cold, and hopefully, the germs. I remember my father or my aunt cooking delicious Pinoy food that would tempt me with their scent, texture, and taste. The warm bowls are a welcome sight on our table and my siblings and I would heartily devour to the last spoonful.

Rainy Day Filipino Food to Warm Your Hearts

I try to recreate Filipino food that comforts the tummy and the heart during rainy days. To give you an idea, I grouped foods according to their major ingredients and their variants.

J.Co SM East Ortigas Now Open

J.Co recently launched it’s newest branch at SM East Ortigas and we couldn’t be more happier. Finally, our favorite “not-too-sweet” donuts are closer to home! The J.Co SM East Ortigas branch is their 44th concept store and I just love its simplistic urban interior. The Daily Beans Coffee Lounge and Restaurant opens new branch in Antipolo in time for Christmas

With the remarkable success of its flagship store in Pililia, Rizal, four enterprising young men who have been friends since childhood have banded together as business partners, to open a new branch of The Daily Beans, a Coffee Lounge and Restaurant located in the bustling area of San Roque, Antipolo City, along the Sumulong Circumferential Road fronting Unciano Colleges.

The Daily Beans began its operation in 2011. According to the store’s proprietress, Sally Tarraya, the idea of putting up a coffee shop in the middle of a long road along Kilometer 56, Manila East Road in Barangay Hulo, Pililia Rizal, where daily commuters and travelers pass on their way to Caliraya Laguna, Quezon and other tourist destinations, was a smart move due to its ideally strategic location.

For the past 5 yea...
