It is but usual to find the native Pinoy suman (rice cakes) wrapped in banana or palm leaves. This suman, however, was different. It was fried in a way that it’s outer layer was crispy yet the inner rice layers were still as soft as suman should be. It actually reminded me of the Spanish churros which is also dipped chocolate syrup.
