This season of giving, help feed malnourished Pinoy children by supporting the Restaurants Against Hunger campaign. From November 15, 2016 to January 15, 2017, international non-government organization Action Against Hunger, together with partner restaurants and top chefs, are bringing to life the Restaurants Against Hunger campaign. The campaign aims to save the lives of malnourished Pinoy kids through “Dishes that Feed More” in participating restaurants. When ordered, proceeds from these dishes go to Action Against Hunger’s programs in alleviating extreme malnutrition across the country.
Action Against Hunger is a worldwide organization that aims to fight the hunger problems in nearly 50 countries for more than 40 years now. Aside from feeding malnourished children, they also help provide communities with access to safe water, training, and healthcare.
In the Philippines, Action Against Hunger has helped more than 500,000 people directly in 2015 alone. Thirty thousand of this number were helped with nutrition programs especially during and following disasters and conflicts.
This is the first time Action Against Hunger is holding this campaign in the Philippines. Restaurants Against Hunger started way back in 1998 during the World Food Day in France. It was also launched in the UK, US, Canada and Spain. Currently, the campaign is running in Italy, Germany, Peru, Colombia, and Bolivia with multi-awarded chefs. Celebrity Chef, Roland Laudico , is the proud ambassador for the campaign here in the country.
