I have learned to live with the fact that Rap will not eat any tomato-based dish. Before, he disliked pasta, too. He thought that pasta is synonymous to our usual Pinoy, tomato-ketchup sauced spaghetti. It was only last year that he started to eating the only pasta dish in his limited food list, Aglio Oglio.

Rap loves aglio oglio with chopped bacon and lotsa lotsa of chopped red pepper flakes!

One of my favorite chicken dishes is Hainanese Chicken. I also like steamed chicken especially if it’s Hainanese style. The rice that goes with it is flavorful and so are the dipping sauces.

Don’t you love shopping for deals? Well, I do. Of course, I wouldn’t let a chance to buy a good foodie deal pass without me availing it because the boys and I love eating out! This is why I’m so glad to discover eBay Philippines‘ new group buying site, Kuponan.

I’m sure most of you are already familiar with eBay.ph and the various group buy philippines sites that have sprouted in the Internet lately. One episode of Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho featured a cute cafe that was apparently the first Tokyo maid cafe in the Philippines. The place looked as cute and youthful as its maids/servers and that immediately caught the attention of my husband, hahaha! What surprised us, though, is that it’s only a few kilometers away from our home. Yep,  MeiDolls Cafe is located in our bright and booming little town of Cainta!

Since it’s my sister’s birthday today and we agreed to meet up in my parents’ home in Greenwoods last Sunday, we decided to cap the night by having tea, coffee, and desserts at MeiDolls Cafe. All five of us were there together with Dadi, my brother-in-law Gene, the kids (Rapi, my nephew Clyde, and my baby niece Tiki), and my youngest brother’s girlfriend, Carie.
